Court approves pre-arrest bail of accused in Foreign Funding Case

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A banking crimes court in Islamabad has approved the pre-arrest bail applications of Saraj Ahmad and Faisal Qazi, co-accused in the foreign funding case against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and others.

Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar heard the case. The pre-arrest bail of the PTI founder had already been approved earlier. Special Prosecutor Wasiq Malik appeared before the court.

During the proceedings, the judge inquired from the prosecutor whether the charge sheet submitted before the court was complete. "We submitted the complete charge sheet in the Registrar's Office," the prosecutor responded.

"I will look into the matter regarding notices to the accused on the charge sheet," the judge said.

The court subsequently adjourned the hearing of the case until June 3.

The FIA has registered a case against the PTI founder and others.
