Court awards death sentence for assaulting minor girl

BOUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) A sessions court awarded death sentence along with a fine to a man convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a suburban village.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafarullah Khan Niazi sentenced the convict, Adnan alias Dani, to death and imposed a fine of Rs. 500,000.

The victim’s identity has been withheld due to legal and ethical considerations.

According to case details, the incident took place in village 423/EB, and the case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s father.

In this case, the prosecution was conducted by former bar president Mehr Tahir Amjad and ADPP Hamid Raza Joiya, while the investigating officer was Sub-Inspector Mehboob Alvi.
