Court awards death sentence to two convicts in murder case

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2026) A local court on Saturday sentenced two individuals to death and another to life imprisonment

for their involvement in a murder case registered at Jhal Chakian police station.

According to a press release issued by DPO office, the court found Nasir Hayat and Muhammad Qasim guilty in case number 961/23, awarding them the death penalty along with a fine of Rs 500,000 each.

The court also sentenced another accused, Rafaqat, to life imprisonment and imposed

a fine of Rs 600,000.

The case was registered under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including 302, 324, 337F (i,iii), 114, 148, and 149.
