Court extends Asad Qaiser’s interim bail

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended the interim bail of PTI leader Asad Qaiser until May 28, in the Sangjani rally case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended the interim bail of PTI leader Asad Qaiser until May 28, in the Sangjani rally case.

The hearing was conducted by Judge Abual Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain.

Asad Qaiser had filed an application seeking exemption from personal appearance, while his lawyer Ayesha Khalid appeared in court on his behalf.

The defense counsel argued that Asad Qaiser could not appear in court as he was abroad, but he regularly participates in court proceedings. The court accepted the request for exemption from appearance and extended his interim bail.

The case has been registered at Sangjani Police Station.
