ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) A district and sessions court in Islamabad has extended the interim bail of accused Ghulam Hussain Shahid, an owner of a housing society, until June 18 in a case pertaining to alleged embezzlement of money in exchange for files and plots.
Additional Session Judge Muhammad Ali Waraich heard the case. The accused, Ghulam Hussain Shahid, appeared before the court.
The defence counsel submitted that they have now come to know that additional sections have also been added to the FIR. He requested time to prepare for the case after the addition of new sections.
The prosecution argued that the accused are deliberately employing delaying tactics and requested the court to decide the bail applications on merit.

The associate counsel informed the court that the senior counsel could not appear today due to the illness of his father. The court adjourned the hearing due to the non-availability of the senior counsel.
Arguments on the pre-arrest bail application of the accused could not take place today. The accused is facing allegations of fraud amounting to Rs. 31 crore in exchange for plots and files. A case has been registered against Ghulam Hussain Shahid at Kohsar Police Station.
The court directed the lawyers of both parties to present arguments on the next hearing and adjourned the case until June 18.
