ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Tuesday heard five criminal cases, including attempted murder, filed against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by former minister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha.

The court ordered a temporary halt to the arrest of the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi in all the related cases until February 18.

During the hearing, the court extended the pre-arrest bail of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in the five cases. The PTI founder could not be presented before the court, either in person or through a video link. The court directed that he must be presented at the next hearing, either physically or via video link.

The cases were heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. Arguments on the bail petitions could not be presented due to the absence of the PTI founder and his counsel Salman Safdar. The court postponed further hearing on the bail applications until February 18.
