ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Wednesday issued a detailed 17-page order rejecting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf's (PTI) Chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan’s application seeking the registration of a criminal case related to the November 26 protest.
The court ruled that the applicant failed to provide the required evidence despite being given several opportunities. The complaint had alleged that 12 people were killed and more than 38 workers were injured by gunfire, but the court found that no supporting material was placed on record.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka released the written order, stating that Barrister Gohar Ali Khan did not record his statement as an eyewitness despite repeated hearing dates granted by the court.
According to the order, the law required a list of witnesses to be attached to a complaint. The application named several individuals as witnesses, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, Opposition Leader, Omar Ayub, Bushra Bibi, and a number of lawmakers.

The court noted that the complaint claimed 12 deaths and injuries to more than 38 PTI workers during the protest. Despite the passage of considerable time, no post-mortem reports, death certificates, or medical records of the injured individuals were produced.
Judge Majoka observed that, based on the material available, no case was made out against the cabinet members. The order stated that legal action could not proceed on the basis of verbal allegations alone in the absence of supporting evidence.
The order also highlighted that no digital footage, video evidence, or USB devices were submitted. While several volumes of newspaper clippings were attached to the complaint, the court found them insufficient to support the allegations.
