ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) The District and Sessions court of Islamabad continued proceedings in the case of a 22-year-old student, Iman Afroz, who was killed in a hostel at the Islamic University.
The hearing was held by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.
During the hearing, state counsel Naveed Hussain Kyani appeared before the court.
In a related arms recovery case, the challan was submitted, and copies were provided to the accused as per legal procedure.
The court announced that formal charges against the accused will be framed at the next hearing. In the murder case, registered under relevant sections, the court also summoned more witnesses to record their statements.
The case was registered at Ramna Police Station.
The court adjourned further proceedings until April 21, when the charge framing is expected to take place and the trial will move to the next stage.
