Cousin kills man over minor dispute

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) A man was allegedly murdered by his cousin following a minor dispute here in the Civil Lines area on Tuesday.

According the details, the incident occurred after a brief altercation between the victim and his paternal cousin, which escalated into violence. The accused attacked the victim with a knife, resulting in his death on the spot.

Senior police officers reached the scene along with a heavy police contingent and initiated investigation. The body was shifted for post-mortem examination, while a case has been registered.

A police spokesman said forensic teams were called to collect evidence from the crime scene, adding that special teams have been constituted to arrest the fleeing suspect. He said the accused would be arrested soon and brought to justice.
