CPO directs strict crackdown against heinous crimes

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) City Police Officer Sahibzada Bilal Umar directed the police officers

to intensify crackdown on heinous crimes and ensure merit-based

investigations in addition to enhancing patrolling to protect lives and

property of citizens across the district.

He issued these directions while chairing a meeting of Circle Khurarianwala

at his office while DSP Circle Khurarianwala Nasrullah Khan, SHOs and

investigation officers were also present on the occasion.

Police spokesman said here on Sunday that the CPO ordered immediate

arrest of criminals involved in serious cases including murder, robbery,

theft and dacoity. He also directed the police officers to ensure early

disposal of such cases through effective investigation.

He emphasized that investigation officers must strictly follow merit while

probing cases to ensure justice and transparency.

He also directed SHOs to further improve patrolling and search operations

to curb crime and maintain law and order.

Sahibzada Bilal Umar instructed that Eagle Squad and mobile patrolling

teams should remain on high alert during banking hours and their movement

must be monitored through trackers to ensure effective security arrangements.

He further directed police officers to enhance crime tracing by arresting

proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals. Timely action against such

elements would help reduce crime rate, he added.

The CPO stressed the need for prompt redressal of public complaints

and directed police officials to deal with citizens visiting police stations

in a courteous manner.

He urged all officers to perform their duties with honesty, integrity and

a spirit of public service, reiterating that protection of life and property

of the people remains the top priority of police.
