CPO hands over Rs 20m to complainant after theft case resolved within 24 hours

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar on Wednesday handed over Rs 20 million cash to a complainant within 24 hours of the big theft he had reported to police in Jalilabad area of Multan.

Police spokesman said, the main suspect of the theft was arrested and recovery was made.

The theft was reported to police by a person from Willayatabad area of the city and a special team deputed by the CPO sprang into action under supervision of SSP Operations Haider Ali, SSP Investigations Muhammad Tahir, SP Kainaat Azhar and SP Balaar Khan Chandio.

The team, led by SHO Azhar Abbas Gull and accompanying ASI Muhammad Naeem and the IT team, demonstrated professional skills and technical expertise leading to the arrest of the accused and recovery of stolen cash.

Later, CPO Sadiq Ali Dogar invited the complainant to his office and formally handed over the recovered amount.

The CPO appreciated the police performance stating that protection of citizens’ life and property was the top priority of the police.

The complainant commended the prompt action of the police and expressed gratitude over timely recovery of the stolen money.
