CPO holds Open Courts at Police Stations to address public grievances

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) In line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani conducted open courts (Khuli Katcheries) at Civil Lines and Morgah police stations to hear public complaints and ensure prompt resolution of issues.

The sessions were attended by SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, the Chief Traffic Officer, SP Potohar, DSP Civil Lines, Station House Officers (SHOs) and investigating officers.

A large number of citizens, including representatives of traders' associations, participated in the open courts and presented their concerns.

During the proceedings, CPO Hamdani listened to public grievances and issued on-the-spot directives to the relevant officers for their immediate resolution.

He emphasized that the provision of timely justice to citizens remains the police department’s top priority.

Speaking on the occasion, the CPO said that service delivery, merit, and the rule of law would be ensured under all circumstances. He reiterated the department’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens while providing the best possible public services.

Following the open courts, CPO Hamdani also visited the Women Police Station and the Tahaffuz (Protection) Center. During the visit, he reviewed the functioning of the front desk, police station records, lock-up facilities, and other operational matters.

At the Tahaffuz Center, the CPO inspected the facilities being provided to the public and issued instructions aimed at further improving service standards and public assistance.
