CPO orders to arrest culprits involved in alleged torture of 13-year-old maid

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani on Monday took notice of the reported torture of a 13-year-old maid in the Rawat area and ordered immediate legal action against those involved.

According to a police spokesman, the CPO directed the Superintendent of Police (Sadar) to submit a detailed report and ensure the arrest of all suspects without delay.

Police said a case has been registered at Rawat police station on the complaint of the state. One of the suspects involved in the alleged torture incident has been arrested, along with the parents of the minor girl.

Officials said the injured child was provided medical treatment and is currently under care.

She is being handed over to the Child Protection Department for further safety and welfare.

Preliminary reports indicate that the minor domestic worker managed to reach the police herself, after which authorities immediately initiated action.

CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani said violence against children was unacceptable under any circumstances and directed that strict legal action be taken against all those responsible.

He added that raids were underway to arrest the remaining suspects.

Investigations are ongoing and all aspects of the case are being examined.
