CPO suspends Naseerabad SHO during open court in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera on Wednesday suspended Station House Officer (SHO) Naseerabad Muhammad Javed for failing to prevent illegal activities during open courts held in the jurisdictions of R.A. Bazaar and Westridge police stations.

Speaking on the occasion, Sukhera said negligence in enforcing the law and preventing illegal activities would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He said citizens should not face unnecessary delays or difficulties in obtaining justice, adding that ensuring the protection of life and property and providing efficient police services remained the force's foremost responsibility.

The CPO directed police officers to perform their duties with professionalism and dedication to strengthen public confidence in the police and improve service delivery.

Mushtaq listened to public grievances and issued on-the-spot directions to the relevant officers for their prompt resolution.

The open courts were organised in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to improve public access to police and strengthen service delivery.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Superintendent of Police (Pothohar), Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Cantt), SHOs and investigation officers attended the proceedings, while a large number of citizens participated and presented their complaints.
