DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) The traffic police have launched strict operations across the city to improve traffic flow and ensure enforcement of the traffic laws.

According to the police spokesman, the special anti-encroachment operation was carried out from Muryali Mor to Qureshi Mor under the supervision of DSP Traffic Anwar Khattak and Incharge Traffic Qaiser Hilal Sial.

During the operation, illegal obstructions on roads were removed, and several shopkeepers were issued warnings.

DSP Traffic Anwar Khattak says that encroachments not only create difficulties for citizens but also severely disrupt the traffic system.

He said that indiscriminate action would continue across the city to improve traffic flow.

Meanwhile, Incharge Traffic Qaiser Hilal Sial has intensified the crackdown against underage drivers, fancy number plates, unregistered motorcycles, and vehicles with tinted windows.

He said that underage drivers pose a serious risk to their own lives and others, and, therefore, a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against such violations.
