Crackdown launched against bakeries over expired Items

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Additional Assistant Commissioner Tank Malik Sajid Ali Khan paid a surprise visit to various bakeries in bazaar to inspect hygiene conditions and the quality of food items.

According to the administration, during the visit, the sale of expired products and poor sanitation conditions were observed at several shops.

He took immediate action against the violators, imposing fines imposed on shopkeepers and issued warnings in some cases.

On the occasion, he directed shopkeepers to strictly maintain cleanliness and ensure that only fresh and quality food items are sold.

He warned that strict legal action would be taken against those who fail to comply.

He further said that providing people with safe and quality food was s the administration’s top priority, and such inspections would continue regularly.
