Crackdown launched against businesses of illegal Afghan residents in Malakand

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The district administration in Malakand has launched a crackdown against businesses operated by illegally residing Afghan nationals in Batkhela and adjoining areas following directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Acting on the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Malakand Muhammad Fayaz Khan Sherpao, Assistant Commissioner Batkhela Shakil Ahmad carried out the operation to ensure implementation of government orders and legal regulations regarding illegal foreign residents.

During the crackdown, several businesses were sealed, including shops and food outlets operating under the Names of Muhammad Zeb, Samad, Akhtar Muhammad, Insaf Bar B.

Q Hotel at Zafar Park, Khitab Biryani and Chapli Kabab.

The Assistant Commissioner said that strict compliance with government directives and legal procedures would be ensured at all costs, adding that action against violators would continue without discrimination.

He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order and implementing provincial government policies regarding illegal residents across the district.
