SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) The Municipal Corporation Sargodha has launched a crackdown against the sale of sacrificial animals at unauthorized locations across the city ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to an official spokesperson here on Thursday, the operation was being carried out under the supervision of Chief Officer Zoya Baloch following directives issued by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry. Municipal teams conducted raids in different parts of the city and confiscated animals being sold at prohibited sites.
The seized cattle were shifted to the temporary sale point established at Tahli Chowk in New Satellite Town.
According to the Municipal Corporation, two temporary cattle sale points have been established in Sargodha to facilitate traders and citizens during Eid-ul-Adha.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>These include the Bhulwal Road and Tahli Chowk sale points, where sacrificial animals can be sold free of charge.
The Chief Officer stated that the sale of animals on roadsides, streets, residential areas, and other non-designated locations would not be allowed under any circumstances. She warned that strict action would continue against violators.
Livestock traders have been urged to bring their animals only to the officially designated sale points, while citizens have also been advised to purchase sacrificial animals from these approved locations, where facilities are being provided without any additional fee.
