MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) has expanded province-wide crackdown against corrupt elements—particularly deed writers involved in fake property registries.
Under the supervision of Regional Director Anti-Corruption Multan, Basharat Nabi, authorities have unearthed a major mega scandal involving a well-organized network engaged in preparing fraudulent registries. Investigations have revealed that Sub-Registrars of City and Saddar Multan, in collusion with multiple deed writers, established a systematic operation that caused losses worth millions of rupees to the national exchequer. The accused were found guilty of serious legal violations and deliberate fraud against the state system.
Authorities confirmed that the scope of the investigation has been further expanded, with more arrests and major revelations expected in the coming days.
The case surfaced following a surprise visit by Commissioner Multan Division, Aamir Karim Khan, a couple of months ago which led to the immediate registration of an FIR and transfer of the case to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan.
The ACE team arrested 28 deed writers, recovered over 500 fake registries, seized fake stamp papers and bogus FBR receipts (including 256 C and 256 K) and records.
Additionally, Rs12.21 million was recovered from the accused and deposited into the national treasury, while further recoveries are underway.
Anti-corruption authorities made it clear that those operating under the guise of deed writers as part of a corrupt mafia deserve no leniency. “These individuals are criminals against both the public and the state. Their cases will be pursued to their logical conclusion, their properties will be confiscated, licenses cancelled, and they will be blacklisted,” officials stated.
They further emphasized that all individuals involved in preparing fake registries or facilitating such activities will be made an example to deter future wrongdoing.
