Crackdown on quackery: two illegal clinics sealed in Kalabagh

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Saleem Akram, Additional Assistant Commissioner Galyat, Muhammad Tariq, on Tuesday conducted a crackdown against quackery and illegal medical practices in Kalabagh, inspecting multiple clinics.

During the inspection, two clinics were found operating illegally where unqualified individuals were examining and treating patients. Authorities also checked medicines available on site, including DRAP registration numbers, QR codes, and barcodes, which revealed suspicious records.

Samples of the medicines were collected for further laboratory analysis.

Following violations of relevant laws, both illegal clinics were immediately sealed, and legal proceedings have been initiated against those involved.

The district administration stated that indiscriminate action would continue against individuals involved in quackery and those endangering public health.
