KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Acting swiftly on the strict directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz, the Additional Assistant Commissioner Gambat, Syed Mukhtiar Shah on Tuesday, comprehensively inspected multiple food outlets along Pindi Road and Bannu Road. The operation targeted samosa stalls, bakeries, sweet shops, and confectionery units, aiming to ensure public health safety.
During the inspection drive, officials carefully reviewed sanitation arrangements and food handling practices; however, alarming violations were detected at certain locations. Two food units were immediately sealed due to poor hygiene conditions, reflecting the administration’s firm stance against negligence.
Moreover, authorities destroyed more than 40 liters of hazardous and contaminated cooking oil, which posed a serious threat to consumers. A formal notice was also issued to the factory owner involved, therefore initiating legal proceedings under relevant food safety regulations.
Meanwhile, all business owners were clearly directed to maintain proper cleanliness standards and adhere to hygiene protocols. Consequently, officials warned that any future violations would invite strictly enforced legal action, underscoring the administration’s commitment to safeguarding public health.
