CTO orders zero-tolerance policy against traffic violations in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam have issued clear directives to circle, sector in-charges and traffic wardens to take strict action against traffic violations across the district without any discrimination.

The CTO said that the enforcement of traffic laws in Rawalpindi will be ensured at 100 percent, adding that special checking pickets are being established at key points across the city.

He stated that strict action will be taken against motorists violating traffic rules, including those not wearing seat belts, speeding, riding without helmets, and driving without a valid licence, along with other offences.

The CTO further said that a zero-tolerance policy against traffic violations has been implemented across the district. He added that lane discipline and adherence to stop lines on highways will also be strictly enforced.

He said that traffic education teams have also been activated to raise awareness among citizens and promote better understanding of road safety rules.
