CTO, wardens observe Iftar on roads to facilitate citizens

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Dr Athar Waheed along with traffic wardens observed Iftar on the roads at Faisal Chowk on Mall Road on the 27th of Ramazan, aiming to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate commuters.

Senior officers, including SSP Traffic Maqsood Ahmed, SP Traffic Headquarters Mansoor-ul-Hassan and Circle Officer Muhammad Umair, also joined wardens in the field to observe Iftar while performing duty. A number of senior journalists were also present with the CTO Lahore on the occasion.

According to the CTO, on his directions, divisional SPs and circle officers have been observing Iftar with traffic wardens on roads since the first day of Ramazan to ensure uninterrupted traffic management.

He said that the Lahore Traffic Police continue its tradition of performing duties on roads during Iftar time so that citizens can reach their homes in time to break their fast.

He added that Ramazan teaches patience and tolerance, urging citizens to follow traffic rules and create ease for others during the holy month.

Dr Athar further said that Traffic Response Units are active across the city to eliminate wrong parking, ensuring smooth traffic flow.

He added that with Eid approaching, additional traffic personnel have been deployed at markets and bazaars to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow and facilitate shoppers.
