Dacoit arrested after police encounter

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) The police claimed to have arrested a dacoit after an encounter in the area of Satiana police station.

Police spokesman said here on Monday that SHO Satiana Asif Ali signaled six suspects near a picket erected at Chak No.131-GB Mor but the outlaws opened indiscriminate firing and fled away towards Chak No.91-GB Jagatpura. The police chased the criminals and encircled them near Rajbah Chak No.91-GB Jagatpur.

The police directed the outlaws for surrender but they once again opened blunt firing on the police party after taking shelter in nearby bushes.

The police returned fire in self-defense and during this encounter, one of the outlaws received serious injuries due to the bullets fired by his own accomplices and fell down on the ground while other accused managed to escape from the scene.

The police arrested the injured accused and shifted him to hospital for treatment. He was identified as Allah Dittah and wanted to the police in 38 cases of dacoity, robbery, theft, narcotics, etc.

The police also recovered one motorcycle, more than 1.5 kilograms heroin from the spot while a special team was constituted to trace whereabouts of the escapees and arrest thereof, spokesman added.
