Dacoits loot valuables Rs.5 mln

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Mar, 2026) A major dacoity was reported in a private housing colony within the limits of Model Town police,where valuables worth over Rs5 million were looted,here on Saturday.

According to police,four armed suspects barged into Gulshan Maqbool Shaheed colony and held the security guard, Muhammad Rafiq hostage at gunpoint.

The suspects removed valuable equipment from three transformers installed in the colony and also took away a DVR, surveillance cameras and cash.

Before fleeing,the suspects confined the guard in a room and escaped.

Upon receiving information, police reached the scene and registered a case against unidentified suspects on the complaint of the colony owner,Abdul Haye.

Further investigation was underway.
