Daylight robbery in Sinawan sparks security concerns

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) A brazen daylight robbery in Sinawan city has triggered widespread concern among residents after armed motorcyclists snatched a mobile phone from a pedestrian and fled the scene.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred in broad daylight when unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle targeted a passerby and forcibly took his mobile phone before escaping. The sudden nature of the crime has heightened fears among citizens, who say such incidents are becoming increasingly alarming.

Residents of the area have expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation, stating that open street crimes are unacceptable and have created a sense of insecurity.

They have urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, RPO Dera Ghazi Khan, DPO Kot Addu, DSP Kot Addu, and SHO Sinawan to take immediate notice of the situation.

Citizens have called on law enforcement authorities to swiftly trace and arrest the culprits and bring them to justice. They also demanded an increase in police patrolling in Sinawan city along with more effective security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

Police officials confirmed that a search operation has been launched to identify and apprehend the suspects.
