DC assumes charge of Capital Metropolitan Govt as administrator

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Sanaullah Khan, has formally assumed charge as the Administrator of the Capital Metropolitan Government (CMG) here on Thursday.

Upon his arrival at the CMG office, Director General Qadeer Naseer warmly received him and presented a bouquet. A large number of officials from the metropolitan government were also present on the occasion.

Following the assumption of charge, a meeting was held where detailed discussions were carried out regarding the affairs of the institution.

The DG briefed the new administrator on key challenges faced by the organization, ongoing development projects, and the performance of various departments.

Sanaullah Khan directed the officials to compile comprehensive and detailed briefings of all departments at the earliest to enable the formulation of effective and sustainable strategies for addressing existing issues.

He expressed his commitment to resolving the challenges faced by CMG on a priority basis and emphasized utilizing all available resources to make the institution more active, stable, and self-sufficient.

He further assured that coordinated measures would be taken to ensure the provision of improved municipal services to the citizens.
