ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Attock Rao Atif Raza chaired an important meeting of the District Coordination Committee on Wednesday, in which a detailed review was conducted of ongoing government measures, enforcement of law and matters relating to public facilitation across the district.
The meeting was attended by ADCG Anil Saeed, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Zaheer Ahmed Khan, District education Officer Elementary Taqi Abbas Shah, District Traffic Officer Mirza Khurram, Excise and Taxation Officer Farrukh Saeed Butt, besides other relevant officers and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
Anil gave the participants a detailed briefing on the measures being taken in various sectors.
The meeting was informed that operations had been accelerated across the district to ensure implementation of traffic laws, during which challans were issued for multiple violations and vehicles were impounded.
A crackdown against illegal petrol pumps is also underway and several such outlets were sealed during operations, while strict action was also taken against elements involved in illegal LPG decanting.
The participants were further informed that, under the anti-encroachment operation, obstacles had been removed from major roads and markets to improve traffic flow.
Action against electricity theft is also continuing, and in this regard cases have been registered and fines imposed.
Moreover, the process of checking important roads has been made more effective, while progress regarding registration of seminaries was also reviewed and directions were issued to further expedite the process.
The meeting also held a detailed discussion on the ongoing crackdown against professional beggars, the performance of the Overseas Pakistanis Desk and measures concerning illegal foreign nationals residing in the district.
Addressing the meeting, Rao Atif Raza directed all departments to ensure enforcement of law at all costs and to prioritize immediate resolution of public issues. He emphasized that all institutions should further improve mutual coordination so that the positive impact of government policies could reach the people.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their resolve to make governance in the district more effective.
