DC Ayesha Rizwan reviews road rehabilitation, traffic flow in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Tuesday visited various highways, roads and bypasses in the city to review ongoing efforts aimed at improving road infrastructure, rehabilitation work and traffic flow management.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected the condition of major roads, ongoing repair and patchwork activities, cleanliness arrangements and traffic management measures. Officials accompanying her included Exxon Highways official Muhammad Ahmed, Managing Director WASA Muhammad Rafi, COMC Muhammad Arif and officers from relevant departments.

Ayesha Rizwan directed concerned authorities to complete road construction and rehabilitation projects within the prescribed timeline and according to approved standards to facilitate smooth transportation for citizens.

She said the provision of safe and improved travel facilities remained among the top priorities of the district administration and warned that negligence in public welfare projects would not be tolerated.

The deputy commissioner also instructed departments to strengthen sewer line cleaning operations on Bypass Chenab College Road and other major arteries, including Faisalabad Road and Rajuha Road. She further ordered stricter action against encroachments and emphasized the need for effective traffic flow management, stating that all available resources would be utilized to improve infrastructure and public convenience across the district.
