DC chairs meeting to review measures for expected rains, floods in district

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) An important meeting here on Tuesday was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Aisha Rizwan to review arrangements for preventing potential damage from rains and floods during the upcoming monsoon season.

The officials sources said that representatives from the offices of Assistant Commissioners, WASA, Municipal Committees, District Council, FESCO and other relevant departments attended the meeting.

They were given a detailed briefing on drainage plans, cleaning of drains and emergency response measures during the monsoon.

The deputy commissioner directed all concerned agencies, including WASA, to ensure effective coordination and maintain readiness of machinery and personnel to respond promptly to any emergency.

She also emphasized keeping the drainage system fully operational to prevent inconvenience to the public.
