DC chairs review meeting on ongoing anti-polio drive

HUB, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) A review meeting on the ongoing polio vaccination campaign was held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Jummad Khan Mandokhail.

The meeting was attended by the District Health Officer, representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), union council in-charges and other stakeholders.

The participants reviewed in detail the performance of the campaign’s first day, with briefings given on progress across various union councils and discussions held on challenges faced during implementation.

Mandokhail directed officials to ensure that no child was left un-vaccinated during the drive and that assigned targets were achieved at all costs.

He said that negligence or laxity would not be tolerated in that regard.

The meeting reaffirmed a commitment to utilize all available resources to eradicate polio in line with the government’s vision and to ensure the campaign’s effectiveness and success.
