DC Chiniot conducts surprise visit to cattle market, reviews Eid arrangements

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan along with District Police Officer Dr Naveed Atif on Tuesday conducted a surprise visit to the cattle market and inspected arrangements at the temporary sales point established on Jhang Road ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

During the visit, the officers reviewed security, traffic management, parking facilities, cleanliness, availability of cold drinking water, and medical support at livestock counters. They also checked the functioning of complaint counters, fee collection system, receipt records, and the operational status of CCTV cameras installed in the market control room.

The Deputy Commissioner and DPO interacted with traders and buyers on-site, confirming arrangements for free entry and exit of sacrificial animals.

They directed authorities to maintain high standards of sanitation and ensure that all administrative and civic arrangements remain fully functional until Eid-ul-Adha.

Officials from Assistant Commissioner offices, municipal committees, district council, police, traffic police, Para Force, Suthra Punjab Program, WASA, health, revenue, livestock, and Rescue 1122 were instructed to remain on high alert and ensure smooth facilitation for citizens and traders at all temporary cattle sale points across the district.
