DC Chiniot holds open court, orders swift resolution of public complaints

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2026) Acting on the directives of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Monday held an open court at her office to hear public grievances and ensure immediate action for the resolution of civic issues.

During the session, citizens presented complaints related to cleanliness, encroachments, drainage, health, education and other municipal matters. Ayesha Rizwan reviewed the applications in detail and issued on-the-spot directives to officers of the relevant departments to resolve the issues within the stipulated timeframe and strictly on merit.

The deputy commissioner warned that negligence or unnecessary delays in addressing public complaints would not be tolerated, emphasizing that providing immediate relief to citizens remained the top priority of the district administration.

She said government offices were open to the public at all times under the Punjab government’s open-door policy aimed at improving public service delivery and governance.

She further directed district officers to treat visitors courteously, listen carefully to their concerns and ensure practical and sustainable solutions to strengthen public confidence in state institutions. Ayesha Rizwan said the Punjab government was taking concrete measures to improve basic facilities, transparency and good governance across the province.
