DC Chiniot reviews development projects, directs timely completion of ADP schemes

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Development Review Committee to assess progress on the Annual Development Programme (ADP) and other ongoing development projects, directing all departments to complete schemes within the stipulated timelines without compromising quality.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Muhammad Ahmar Ali and Wasiq Abbas Haral, Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Director Development Saeed Ahmed, and officials from the Highways, Buildings, sports, Population Welfare, Forests, WASA and other relevant departments. Deputy Director Development Saeed Ahmed briefed participants on the status of development schemes, fund utilization, completion rates and challenges affecting project implementation.

Reviewing the performance of each department, the deputy commissioner sought updates on the pace of work and stressed that timely completion of public welfare projects remained a top priority under the Punjab government's directives.

She instructed all departments to strengthen coordination, ensure effective communication and maintain high construction standards throughout project execution.

Rizwan also directed officials to continue regular monitoring of development schemes, ensure transparent and efficient use of public funds, and immediately remove obstacles causing delays. She warned that negligence in the timely and quality completion of projects would not be tolerated and urged all departments to discharge their responsibilities with professionalism and integrity so that the public could benefit from development initiatives without delay.
