DC conducts surprise inspection of schools, hospitals & beautification Schemes

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi, Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema, on Friday conducted a comprehensive inspection of Holy Family Hospital, the Commercial Market Beautification Project, and a public school to review civic facilities and ongoing development work.

During his visit to Holy Family Hospital, DC inspected various departments, including the emergency ward, medical, surgical, gynecology, and pediatrics units. He evaluated the quality of healthcare services, availability of medicines, cleanliness, functionality of medical equipment and staff attendance, said a press release.

The DC also interacted with patients and their attendants to gather firsthand feedback on the treatment being provided. He directed the hospital management to ensure the timely provision of high-quality medical services to all patients without delay.

Later, he reviewed the progress of the Commercial Market beautification project.

Instructing the relevant officers to ensure timely completion, he emphasized that the quality of work must not be compromised.

"Beautification of the city, smooth traffic flow, and improvement of public amenities remain top priorities of the district administration," he said.

Visiting a government school in New Katarian, DC, assessed the classroom environment, student attendance, and basic facilities. He urged the school administration to maintain a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment, stressing the importance of quality education and character-building.

Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated that the district administration is continuously monitoring health, education, and development sectors in line with the Punjab Government’s vision to ensure transparency, quality, and public welfare.
