DC directs LUH to repair, make functional CT scan machines

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, Zain-ul-Abedin Memon, visited Liaquat University Hospital here on Thursday night to inspect the emergency and radiology departments.

The DC quizzed the hospital authorities over the non-functional CT scan machines. He directed the hospital administration to ensure urgent repair of the 2 CT scan machines so that the scanning services could be provided to the patients at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the DC along with District Health Officer Dr Pir Ghulam Hussain inaugurated International Immunization Week at Bhitai Hospital Hyderabad here on Friday morning.

Speaking on the occasion, he reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to protecting children and communities through vaccination. He underlined the vital role of immunization in preventing diseases and safeguarding public health.

Memon also highlighted the importance of awareness, community participation, and coordinated efforts by health authorities to ensure maximum vaccination coverage.

The event was attended by health officials and medical staff.
