QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini on Monday directed the concerned authorities to make the tree plantation campaign effective and initiated it in Quetta on February 16.

He said this while chairing a meeting regarding the tree plantation campaign and planting of trees.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Quetta Muhammad Anwar Kakar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Quetta Hafiz Muhammad Tariq, officers of the Forest Department, Rotary Club and representatives of Quetta through Online.

During the meeting, it was decided that a massive tree plantation campaign would be launched on all main highways, educational institutions and other important places of Quetta.

In this regard, it was also agreed to promote mutual cooperation between various institutions so that the city can be made green by planting maximum number of trees.

Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini said that enhancing the beauty of Quetta and keeping the environment clean and transparent is the top priority of the district administration.

He directed the concerned authorities to continue the tree plantation campaign in an effective and systematic manner and to ensure the maintenance of the planted trees.

The district administration has also appealed to citizens, students and social organizations to actively participate in this campaign and play their role in making their city green and lush.
