DC, DPO review Muharram security arrangements

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Khushab Dr Jahanzeb Hussain Labar, accompanied by District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Ammara Shirazi, on Wednesday visited procession routes in Tehsil Noorpur to review security arrangements ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to the official spokesperson here, the officials inspected Category-A and Category-B procession routes falling under the jurisdictions of Noorpur and Jora Kalan police stations.

They were briefed by the concerned SHOs and the SDPO Noorpur Circle regarding the routes of processions, security deployment plans, and other arrangements being made to maintain law and order during Muharram.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Dr Ammara Shirazi said that comprehensive and foolproof security measures would be ensured for all Muharram processions and gatherings.

She emphasized that police personnel would remain vigilant to safeguard participants and maintain a peaceful environment throughout the month.

The DC and DPO also met procession license holders and organizers of religious gatherings (majalis), assuring them of full administrative and police support to facilitate the observance of Muharram in a secure and orderly manner.

Officials reiterated their commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring that all security protocols are implemented effectively during the holy month.
