DC for crackdown against encroachments, illegal LPG refilling

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Nauman Siddique directed authorities to accelerate the anti-encroachment operation, ensure speedy completion of WASA schemes, and take strict action against illegal LPG refilling.

Presiding over a meeting to review performance of district departments here on Tuesday, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the performance of various departments and received detailed briefings from officers regarding ongoing administrative and development initiatives.

He instructed departments to enhance field operations to provide maximum relief to citizens, emphasizing that governance must translate into visible improvement at the grassroots level.

Highlighting sanitation priorities, he said a mega cleanliness operation was underway in Tehsil Saddar under the Suthra Punjab Campaign, directing officials to maintain consistent cleanliness standards across the district.

Muhammad Nauman Siddique further stated that no compromise would be allowed on the quality of clean drinking water supply projects and ordered strict monitoring of all related schemes.

Taking serious notice of safety violations, he ordered a crackdown on illegal LPG refilling points, warning that those involved would face strict legal action.

He urged officers to improve performance in order to prevent strict administrative action, including removal from the district.

He reiterated that provision of public relief remains the top administrative priority and directed all departments to remain active, responsive, and result-oriented.
