QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harnai Arshad Hussain Jamali on Thursday directed the concerned authorities to ensure provision of better health facilities to the public, maintain the availability of medicines in medical centers and ensure that all employees perform their responsibilities efficiently. He said this while chairing a meeting of the District Health Committee.
The meeting reviewed the health facilities, attendance of medical staff, availability of medicines and overall performance of hospitals across the district.
The meeting was attended by the District Health Officer, Medical Superintendent (MS), District Headquarters Hospital Harnai, District Support Manager PPHI, District Accounts Officer and other members of the committee.
DC Harnai issued directives to the concerned authorities to ensure the provision of better health facilities to the public, maintain the availability of medicines in medical centers and ensure that all employees perform their responsibilities efficiently.
Meanwhile, he also chaired a meeting of the District Education Group in which various issues related to educational affairs, performance of schools, attendance of teachers and quality of education were reviewed in the district.

DC Harnai directed that teaching activities in educational institutions across the district should be made more effective, teacher attendance should be ensured and all available resources should be utilized to provide quality education to students.
The Deputy Commissioner also presided over a meeting to resolve issues related to date of birth in the records of government employees, in which officers of various departments, including SP Harnai, Additional Deputy Commissioner Harnai, Assistant Commissioner Harnai and concerned employees participated.
The meeting reviewed the cases of employees whose pay slips, national identity cards, service books, appointment orders and other government records had discrepancies or other issues regarding date of birth.
DC Harnai issued instructions to the concerned departments to dispose of all cases as soon as possible in accordance with the rules and regulations and to take necessary steps to resolve the problems being faced by the employees so that the government records could be made accurate and complete.
