DC inspects development schemes, stresses timely completion

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali visited ongoing development projects across the district and directed officials to ensure timely completion with strict quality standards.

According to a spokesperson for the DC Office, she reviewed a sewerage pipeline project on Zafarwal Road being executed by Water and Sanitation Agency and ordered its completion by April 20 to minimize public inconvenience.

She also inspected the “Beautification of Iqbal Manzil and Allied Bazaars” project under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, directing departments to complete all related works by June 30 while maintaining quality, safety, and round-the-clock progress.

During the visit, she further reviewed construction of Bab-e-Iqbal on Wazirabad Road and, in continuation of her field inspections, later chaired a meeting on pre-flood arrangements and the Model Village Programme. She directed all departments to remain on high alert, ensure availability of resources, and prioritize public safety.
