DC joins plantation drive along old GT road

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC) Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Quresh along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Zulfiqar Ahmed took part in an ongoing plantation drive,planting saplings along Old GT Road on Monday.

According to a spokesperson,officials from the District Council and Parks and Horticulture Authority assisted in the activity.

Chief Officer,Syed Faraz Mehdi and Assistant Director Rashid Chattha were also present.

As part of the campaign,flowering plants including Cassia Nodosa were planted from Sain Raja Gate to Gulzar Madina Chowk.

Plantation activities were also carried out at Service Mor,Bhimber road and other key intersections to beautify the city.

DC instructed authorities to ensure proper care of the saplings to achieve the intended results of the campaign.
