DC Larkana Reviews Progress on Elimination of Illegal Encroachments in Larkana City

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Larkana, Tariq Manzoor Chandio, chaired a meeting to review progress on the elimination of illegal encroachments in Larkana city here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, Assistant Commissioner Larkana Raja Khan Qureshi, Police Department representative DSP Civil Line Saad Jabbar, Mukhtiyarkar Larkana Abdul Khaliq Chandio, Municipal Commissioner LMC Larkana Dr. Javed Anwar Abbasi, Town Municipal Commissioners TMC Sachal Abdul Wahhab Chacho, TMC Dari Muhammad Bachal Magsi, TMC Haidari, and Emporium Zohaib Ahmed Wagan.

The AC Larkana and Municipal Commissioner LMC Larkana briefed the DC regarding the progress on the removal of illegal encroachments from Larkana city.

After a detailed briefing, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Commissioner Larkana, Municipal Commissioner LMC Larkana, and Town Municipal Commissioners to conduct an anti-encroachment campaign on a daily basis and provide manpower and machinery support to the Assistant Commissioner Larkana on a daily basis.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed that illegal encroachments be removed from Bandar Road, Pakistani Chowk, Resham Gali, Baqrani Road, Station Road, Bakhtawar Park Road, Lahori Mohalla, Chandka Bridge, Jails Bazaar, Fish Market, Naun Dero Chowk, and other main roads.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the police representative that if any violation occurs, an FIR under Section 188 should be registered against them, and the encroached materials be seized under Section 560 and deposited in the court of the learned Judicial Magistrate Larkana.

The Deputy Commissioner Larkana directed the Assistant Commissioner Larkana, Municipal Commissioner Larkana, and Town Municipal Commissioners to identify suitable land/areas for parking and no-parking zones in Larkana city, and also directed that livestock should be relocated from Larkana city to rural areas, as Section 144 has been imposed by the worthy Commissioner Larkana Division.
