DC lauds departments as Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima concludes peacefully

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ejaz appreciated the coordinated performance of

the Police, Traffic Police, Rescue 1122, health department and other relevant departments

for ensuring the successful and peaceful conduct of the three-day global Tablighi Ijtima at Raiwind,

terming it a reflection of effective field monitoring and the district administration’s strong commitment to public service.

The grand congregation concluded without any untoward incident under the direct supervision of the district administration of Lahore, with comprehensive arrangements made to facilitate millions of participants. These included installation of lighting in and around the Ijtima Gah, provision of clean drinking water, an efficient sanitation system, and strict security measures.

District administration teams remained actively deployed in the field throughout the event to oversee cleanliness, security and traffic management.

On the concluding day, special measures were taken to ensure the smooth and organized departure of participants. Traffic flow on Raiwind Ijtima Gah and adjoining major highways was fully restored, and the evacuation process was completed in a peaceful manner.

Rescue 1122 and Health Department teams remained on high alert at the venue until the final moments of the gathering to promptly address any emergency situation.
