RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema and Member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb on Tuesday co-chaired a meeting to review ongoing development projects across Rawalpindi district.
The meeting was attended by members of national and provincial assemblies, heads of departments and other relevant officials.
A detailed briefing was given on the progress of development schemes, challenges being faced and measures taken to address them.
The deputy commissioner directed all departments to complete projects within stipulated timelines and ensure quality of work without compromise.
Speaking on the occasion, Tahira Aurangzeb said public welfare projects remained the government’s top priority and their timely completion would improve civic facilities.
She also stressed the need to further strengthen coordination between elected representatives and the district administration.
It was decided that all departments would enhance coordination to expedite the pace of development projects.
Measures to address public complaints and ensure transparent monitoring of projects were also discussed.
The deputy commissioner directed officers to regularly monitor progress and warned that any negligence or delay would not be tolerated to ensure fast and effective development in Rawalpindi.
