DC Murree reviews ongoing development projects

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi on Tuesday reviewed cleanliness arrangements, traffic management and the progress of ongoing development projects in Murree.

During the visit, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Murree, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Murree, Assistant Commissioner Murree and heads of all relevant departments accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.

The DC inspected sanitation conditions, the state of manholes, road patchwork, signboards, streetlights, safety barriers and the plantation along roadsides.

He directed the concerned officials to further improve maintenance standards and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

He also assessed the traffic situation and parking areas, instructing authorities to take necessary steps to make the traffic system more efficient and better organized, particularly in view of increasing public movement.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed ongoing development and beautification projects in the city.

Expressing satisfaction over the pace and quality of work, he emphasized that projects must be completed within stipulated timelines and that no compromise should be made on standards.

The DC also visited the Ramzan Dastarkhwan facility, where he inspected arrangements and the services will be provided.

He directed the administration to ensure maximum facilitation for citizens and further improve management where needed.

Deputy Commissioner instructed all departmental heads to adopt coordinated and effective measures to make Murree clean, organized and aesthetically appealing, ensuring better facilities for both residents and tourists.
