DC Murree visits landslide-hit Jhika Gali, assures relief to affected families

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi on Tuesday visited the landslide-affected area of Jhika Gali and reviewed relief and response measures.

During the visit, he met the affected residents and assured them of full support, saying all possible relief would be provided in this difficult time.

He directed all district departments to expedite rescue and relief efforts and ensure immediate assistance to the affected people.

The DC said all departments were on high alert, with officers and personnel present in the field round the clock.

He also urged locals and tourists to strictly follow the advisory issued by the administration.

Residents of Jhika Gali expressed satisfaction over the prompt measures taken by the district administration on an emergency basis.
