DC Naseerabad reviews Ashura security and healthcare arrangements

NASEERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Naseerabad, Varinder Lal, conducted a detailed inspection of the routes of Ashura processions on the 10th of Muharram, reviewing security and administrative measures.

During the visit, relevant officials briefed on the security plan and other arrangements. The Deputy Commissioner directed that the safety and facilitation of mourners must remain the top priority. He emphasized that foolproof security, effective traffic management, and all necessary arrangements should be ensured along procession routes. He instructed authorities to remain alert at all times and maintain strong coordination to deal with any untoward situation.

The Deputy Commissioner visited the Divisional Headquarters Hospital, where Medical Superintendent Dr. Habibullah Pandrani briefed him on medical and emergency arrangements for Muharram. DC Lal reviewed the availability of emergency medicines and expressed satisfaction. He directed that the presence of all doctors and medical staff must be ensured, emergency services kept fully functional, and timely, quality healthcare provided to mourners in case of any emergency.

The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed that the district administration was committed to utilizing all available resources to protect lives and property and to provide a peaceful environment during Ashura.
