DC Office Shikarpur organized program for socio-economic uplift in Katcha area of Garhi Tegho

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) On the directives of the Sindh government, the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Shikarpur arranged various activities for socio-economic uplift in the Katcha area of Garhi Tegho. On this occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Shikarpur, Faizan Zafar, visited the activities here on Friday.

As part of the socio-economic uplift initiatives, the Health Department set up a free medical camp and administered EPI vaccinations, while the SRSO (Sindh Rural Support Organization) and the education Department distributed books and notebooks.

NADRA provided facilities for making identity cards and birth certificates through a mobile registration vehicle (MRV).

The Livestock Department set up a veterinary camp where animals were treated and vaccinated. BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme) carried out registration and surveys of eligible women via MRV.

Additionally, the SRSO conducted community mobilization, establishment of village organizations, and survey and verification for the SPHF (Sindh People’s Housing Foundation).

Hundreds of village men, women, and children participated in this social welfare program held in the Katcha area of Garhi Tegho and benefited from the facilities provided by various departments.
