DC orders strict enforcement of newly business hours in Sargodha

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC)Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Tuesday directed all Assistant Commissioners to ensure strict implementation of newly notified business hours across the district, in line with directives issued by the Government of Punjab.

According to an official notification, all markets,bazaars and shopping malls will close at 8:00pm.

However,restaurants,bakeries,tandoors and other food outlets have been allowed to operate until 10:00pm,said a press release.

The DC further stated that marriage halls,marquees and other commercial venues must also shut operations by 10:00pm.

Wedding events at private residences and properties will similarly not be permitted beyond the stipulated time.

The notification exempts essential services from the restrictions,including medical stores,petrol pumps,milk shops and pharmacies to ensure uninterrupted access to basic necessities.

Chaudhary emphasized that Assistant Commissioners must strictly enforce the measures, warning that legal action would be taken against violations.
